Floor Woes

I still do not know what I am going to do about the upstairs bathroom floor. I haven't actually worked on it since the last time I mentioned it. Surprisingly, nothing has changed - where are the shoemaker's little helpers when you need them? Somehow Michele found out - go figure, she actually reads my blog - and said that I am not allowed to just through a rug over it, so that's out. I need to figure out the price, time requirements, and pros/cons of all my options. Why is it that no matter how easy I think it will be, everything I do in this house is 10 times harder? And I am fooled every time. You would think I would eventually learn: old house = 10x more time than you are thinking! Oh well, at least I am having fun and keeping out of trouble - well, at least I am keeping out of what I consider trouble. Some might consider having ripped up half my bathroom floor with no plan getting into trouble, but I think that's rather short-sighted.
